The ancestral family of San Sequoia - grandfather Ignacio, his daughter Bernice, her husband Ian, and their son, Aurelio.

Ian and Bernice had their second son, Javier. Ian quickly reached the top of his career as a writer as well. Perhaps due to that, and having started their family early in life, Bernice went and had a mid-life crisis. She wasn't anywhere near topping her career as a businesswoman. She suddenly wanted to get very into the art world and paint.

Ignacio died during Javier's infancy, making it difficult for the mourning family to give him a maxed-out start in life, but they managed it. He returned occasionally to sit in his favourite chair.

Aurelio burnt out on the violin as a child after being pressured by... mostly Bernice, so he dropped it and picked up piano, tirelessly practising so that one day he could write his own songs. Javier got along so well with Atlas Michaelson that they were best friends forever in about seven minutes.

Aurelio reached his young adult years already nearly a master of two instruments, but his perfectionism held him back from ever completing any songs.

The whole family got working on Javier's treehouse.

He might be having an easier time, with most of the pressure and expectations falling on his older brother.
